Bogota Bank & The Power of Doing Things Together
The year we took on the creative direction of one of the most important banks in Colombia, Banco de Bogotá, was also the year the bank entrusted us with developing its new positioning. A major challenge we chose to face without playing it safe, but rather by going all in.
The concept was built around the role the bank plays in people’s lives: to support, to stay close, and to grow together. Creatively, we expressed this by showcasing the amazing things people can achieve when they come together, from composing a song with your children that ends up being heard everywhere, to completing 30 passes in a swimming pool and scoring a goal just for the joy of it.
Together with my creative partner at the time, we developed the creative concept and led the creative direction of the team.
For the launch, we collaborated with DMK, a Colombian musical group made up of a father and his two children, who went viral for their Depeche Mode covers performed using toy instruments and everyday objects.
We supported them in releasing their first original song, “Pale Blue Dot,” a tribute to everything they’ve achieved by doing things together. The track became the soundtrack of our campaign and also one of their most viral videos.

We wanted everything to feel real—authentic expressions of what people can achieve together, told through a visual language different from what’s typically seen in banking. That’s why we set out to find viral, entertaining, and above all genuine content, showing that the best examples of people doing amazing things together are already out there in the real world.
